This Thursday I’ll be joining the Minnesota Humanities Center on Facebook Live for a short creative workshop on the theme of ‘Cultivating Closeness’ in a time of physical distancing.
Humanities to Go: Featuring Shanai Matteson
Join artist and cultural organizer Shanai Matteson (Water Bar & Public Studio, Raft) for this short #HumanitiesToGo workshop via Facebook Live. From her home studio, Matteson will ask the question, “How can we continue to deepen connections with our nearby neighbors during this time of physical distancing?” This will be a fun, uplifting session inviting participants to create something for their neighbors in observance of May Day and the return of spring. This craft will utilize simple materials that most people should be able to find at home or outside nearby. A materials list and instructions will be posted for those who want to do the activity on their own following this live session.
