“Artists in the Collaboration Incubator program commit to short-term projects intended to lay the foundation for a longer term relationship of the artist with academic collaborators.” — WAM Collaboration Incubator
Really excited to have some time and support this coming year to develop a new collaborative, community-based research project on womxn and our water stories. I’ll be joining the cohort at Weisman Art Museum’s Collaboration Incubator, developing a research project in conversation with Mae Davenport (Center for Changing Landscapes) and an emergent network of womxn who work on water and climate change science, policy, art, or activism. At the same time, I’ll be working on a new body of poetry and print work that will be exhibited at the Weisman in May-June. I’ll be sharing more here as the project progresses! Many thanks to Zak Sally as well, who is helping me practice some new art and printmaking skills as I figure out what the hell I’m doing here. Read more about the project here.
