Video: Mississippi. An Anthropocene River.

I had a small part in this video created for the collaborative international research project Mississippi. An Anthropocene River (2018-2019). It also includes appearances by scholars and artists Brian Holmes, Frank Bibeau, John Kim, Monica Haller, Graci Horne, Roopali Phadke and Bernd Scherer.

The Anthropocene River project was organized and supported by the German cultural organization Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) and a network of people up and down the river, including a number of artists here in Minnesota that I frequently think or work with on Water Bar and other projects.

I had very little engagement with the project as a whole, but in August, was asked to help organize a tour to the the Mississippi headwaters as part of the kick-off for the river journey portion of the project — which is still in progress. I will link to my recap post about that tour as soon as it is live. In the meantime, this website contains lots of writing and other documentation about this project.
